LNG Canada Trades Training Fund Application

Thank you for your interest in the LNG Canada Trades Training Fund (TTF). Applications will be accepted starting October 15, 2015 and will continue until further notice.

The LNG Canada TTF application form must be completed by the employer applying for the training on behalf of their employee. Please note:

  • applications are considered ineligible if the training has already started or has been completed
  • employers must have permission from their employee to provide any personal information that is required by the application form
  • in cases where applications for funding are successful, the funding will be paid directly to the school providing the training
  • applications will be assessed based on criteria developed by LNG Canada and will be processed in the order in which they are received
  • all funding awards are made solely at the discretion of the LNG Canada Trades Training Fund

Eligibility Criteria

Effective February 1, 2017, to broaden the reach of the second round of funding to employers and apprentices who have not yet participated, the following eligibility criteria have been introduced:

  • There is a new limit of one course per student, unless that course is a completion course (e.g. Level 4)
  • Employers must apply to the fund on behalf of their employee, without the help of a third party facilitator
  • Only small companies with 20 employees or less are eligible
  • Eligible trades are now limited to the top in-demand Construction Trades
  • Applications must be received one month prior to the month the training starts. (e.g. for courses that begin in April, applications must be submitted by February 28)
  • Priority will be given to applicants in Northwest BC
