Congratulations to Anibal Valente On His Appointment to CCA Chair
Former BCCA Board Chair Anibal Valente has been elected as Chair of the Canadian Construction Association. Anibal brings over 35 years of experience in ICI construction, and is widely recognized across Canada for his accomplishments and dedication to the industry.
Anibal was a BCCA board member for three years prior to becoming BCCA Chair in 2009. At BCCA he was an active leader, shaping industry progress on major issues through his participation in groups such as the Standards and Practices committee and the Construction Foundation of BC. Anibal also contributed his insights to The Hire Guide, an online resource helping BC’s construction employers connect with New Canadian skill sets (www.hireguide.ca).
In 2013, Anibal was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Canadians demonstrating outstanding service in the construction industry. In 2014, he was named the CCA’s General Contractor of the Year and inducted as a lifetime member to the Vancouver Regional Construction Association. Anibal is the Vice President, Corporate for PCL Constructors Inc.
